1. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes, subject to these terms and the applicable platform store terms.
2. In-App Purchases
The app may offer optional purchases through platform store billing:
- Tessera Premium: a one-time non-consumable purchase that removes advertisements, keeps hints available within the per-puzzle cap, unlocks unlimited daily plays, and unlocks four exclusive color themes.
- Hint packs: may be offered to non-premium players as optional consumable bundles for extra hints. Premium users do not need hint packs because Premium includes the full per-puzzle hint allowance.
Purchases are processed by the platform store: Apple on iOS, and Google Play on Android when Android is available. Prices are displayed in your local currency before purchase. Refunds are handled according to the applicable store policies and law.
3. Advertisements
The free version displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob, including banner ads, interstitial ads, and optional rewarded ads. Premium users do not see advertisements.
4. User Content and Data
All game progress is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for backing up your device. The app provides Export Save Data and Import Save Data options for manual backup and restore.
5. Acceptable Use
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app.
- Do not modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the app.
- Do not use the app for any unlawful purpose.
- Do not attempt to circumvent security features or in-app purchase verification.
6. Intellectual Property
The app, including its design, code, graphics, sounds, the Tessera name, and the Mosaic Mark logo, are owned by us and protected by copyright and trademark laws.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The app is provided as is and as available without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which you reside, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
